Two people were injured after their car reportedly crashed into a tree in Hall County Saturday evening on Shirley Road.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the single-vehicle accident was reported to Hall County Dispatch just before 7:40 p.m.
Passersby reportedly saw the vehicle off the roadway that had crashed into a tree near Wild Turkey Way and called 911.
Hall County Fire Services and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found the two people injured.
The driver, Samantha Ballinger, 29, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The passenger, Bryan Martin, 29, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Both are from Gainesville.
Shirley Road was closed for about two hours while the accident scene was cleared.
