Denton police are asking for help finding the driver who killed a pedestrian on Thanksgiving night in a hit-and-run accident.

Police say the man was struck around 9:00 p.m. on westbound University, near Bell Avenue. The victim's name and age still haven't been released by the Medical Examiner's office.

Police say the hit-and-run suspect is still out there but police don't have much to go on. A vehicle of interest has been described as a 2007 or 2009 Hyundai Elantra. Police say it would likely have damage either on the front end or front side.

Anyone who witnessed what happened is asked to come forward immediately and help police fill in the gaps. To share information call 940-349-8181 and ask to speak with a traffic investigator or supervisor.
