The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation says it raised more than 117-thousand-dollars in honor of the 100th birthday of Charles Schulz. The foundation hosted Sparky’s Ice Spectacular Saturday at Snoopy’s Home Ice on what would have been the “Peanuts” creator’s centennial birthday. Former world champion ice dancers Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre took part in the event that raised funds for cancer research. The event was hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton and proceeds went his foundation and Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
