UPDATE: I-70 reopens in Glenwood Canyon after extended closure Monday
UPDATE, 11:44 p.m. Monday — I-70 through Glenwood Canyon was fully reopened late Monday night, following a day-long closure due to a semi tractor-trailer crash at about 11:15 a.m. Westbound lanes were reopened at 10:20 p.m. and the eastbound lanes reopened at 11:44 p.m., according to Garfield County Communications alerts.

Obituary: Veronica Sauter
Ronnie was born on January 11,1942 in Bensalem Pennsylvania. Her parents were Thurman R. Stone and Veronica E. Stone nee Hodgkin. She was born into a Navy family and was raised around the world. Ronnie lived on Guam in the Pacific and in London, England. She lived there when the coronation of Queen Elizabeth occurred in 1953. Ronnie was raised on Naval Air Stations (NAS) at Memphis TN, Patuxent River MD, and Quonset Point RI as well as at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and Norfolk VA. She was the eldest of four children. Her siblings were Thurman (Stoney), Ramona, and Sharon. Ramona and her parents preceded her in death.

Obituary: Carol Marie Bernes
Carol Marie Strasinski Bernes August 16, 1942 – January 19, 2023. Carol Bernes died January 19, 2023 at Community Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado with her daughter and husband by her side. Carol was 80 years old. She was born and raised in the city of Chicago. Glenwood Springs has been her home for the last 47 years, moving here from London, England, with her husband, a VW Bus, a dog and a cat, and a desire to try a different way of life. The original plan was to stay for only two years.
