SO STILL TRACKING DAMP ROADWAYS, MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, 27 DEGREES IN ADDITION TO THAT NORTHWEST, WE’RE ABOUT 29 MILES AN HOUR MAKING IT FEEL CLOSER TO 11 DEGREES OUTSIDE. SO HERE’S THE LATEST ON LIGHT. DEUEL PULLED OUT THE RADAR AGAIN, CATCHING A BREAK, BUT WE HAVE ANOTHER POCKET OF SNOW TO LOOK FORWARD TO AS WE HEAD THROUGHOUT THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. AND SO THIS WILL BE THE FINAL ACT OF ALL THE MOISTURE AND IT WILL BE IN ALL FORM OF SNOWFLAKES AS IT CONTINUES TO MIGRATE INTO THE OMAHA METRO. SO WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES POSTED FOR MOST OF THE AREA. SO 6:00 FOR THIS AFTERNOON, ALTHOUGH THE SNOW WILL BE ENDING AROUND TWO AND 3:00. HERE’S WHAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW. STORE PREDICTOR, 1:00. COLD AND BREEZY, WIND CHILLS AROUND EIGHT, AROUND 6:00. ONE IN LOW TEMPERATURE IS RANGING ANYWHERE BETWEEN A LOW TO MID TEENS. MORNING LOW OF 15 DEGREES. STILL TRACKING NORTHWEST WIND ABOUT 10 TO 20 MILES AN HOUR OR SO IN PACK WEATHER FOR TOMORROW. BUT KIDS, UNFORTUNATELY, HEADING TO THE BUS STOPS. WIND CHILL AROUND FOR ONLY WARMING UP INTO THE LOWER THIRTIES, BUT WARM AIR TEMPERATURES ON THE WAY. WHEN WE GET CLOSER TO THURSDAY AFTERNOON, WE HAVE A STIFF WIND IN PLACE, MEANING UPPER FORTIES. THAT’S NOT WARM ENOUGH. HOW ABOUT FRIDAY AFTERNOON? HIGH 55 DEGREES. SO A SMALL ANIMATION WHEN IT COMES TO THE FRIGID TEMPERATURES FOR TODAY. FOR TOMORROW. BUT ONCE WE GET BEYOND THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, SATURDAY, ANOTHER DROP IN OUR TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE LOWER THIRTIES. SO UP AND DOWN TEMPERATURE

A wet, wintry mix is expected to impact the Omaha area on Tuesday, which is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m.The morning drizzle, which is causing wet roads, should switch to a light mix by mid-morning as temperatures drop below freezing. Anything that is not treated could become slick, especially elevated surfaces.Temperatures will drop into the 20s by the afternoon as north winds continue to gust up to 40 miles per hour. The wintry mix will eventually change over to light snow in the metro by noon.And that snow, coupled with wind, led to power outages in the area.Omaha Public Power District said the cause of the outages was due to "galloping lines that caused equipment damage." In Iowa, Red Oak and Underwood Community Schools dismissed students due to the outages.
