Linda Bobrin, Bucks County Clerk of Orphans’ Court, is hosting her third Adoption Day program on Dec. 2, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the Bucks County Administration Building, 55 E. Court St. in Doylestown.

This year’s event will feature speakers sharing messages about the important role adoption plays in the community and the role it has played in their own lives. The Bucks County Department of Children and Youth will be recognized for their work protecting and caring for children. Employees work tirelessly to protect children from abuse and neglect and help them to remain safely in their homes. They’ll speak about alternatives, such as foster care and adoption, both from the perspective of the process of adoptions, as well as their role in adoption searches for birth families.

Participants in this year’s program include Bucks County Commissioner Gene DiGirolamo and state Sen. Steve Santarsiero. Adoptees and identical twins Molly Sinert and Emily Bushnell (who can be seen on the current season on The Amazing Race) will also share their story of being separated as infants and reunited 36 years later.

This event will feature live music by jazz musician Mervin Toussaint and performances by Neil Schnitzer and Bucks County Treasurer Kris Ballerini. Refreshments will be served following the program, courtesy of Huntingdon Valley Bank.
