The weather turns to a wintry mix for Tuesday commute

The weather turns to a wintry mix for Tuesday commute
I the news could be worse for tomorrow. It could be *** raging blizzard and for most it's just rain or snow showers out there temperature around 40 degrees through 10 o'clock. But then we switch the wind direction and you start to see that line bend, you see *** southeast wind and then it flips to the northeast. That is the front moving through. It will be *** dramatic temperature drop towards the afternoon. We're at 40 feeling like 36 clouds are already in place. So don't expect these temperatures to move *** whole lot except the north and west. They've already begun their drop carol for dodge. Al gona. That is the area where we'll likely see some accumulations with this system as it moves in again, clouds have settled in the snow displaced the northwest of us by about 100 and 50 to 200 miles. It will continue to move off to the south and east over time. But right now it's kind of filling in and spreading northeast as we go hour by hour. There's the front right here that you see that wind shift right over the metro by 89 o'clock in the morning. This is where we can see that icy mix right along highway 20 north of Fort dodge. You see al gona. That pink color. That's where we could see some sleater wet snowflakes and then maybe ending as *** burst of snow. But any precipitation that we see tomorrow by four o'clock everywhere and Iowa and northern Iowa below 32°. So that means any liquid will be frozen by that point in time, which could mean black ice concerns for the drive home. Be mindful of that. I don't think there are many headaches in central Iowa first thing in the morning but I think by the afternoon even if we don't get *** lot there could still be some icy patches *** coating to an inch basically from the metro north. I think the lower end of this maybe coating on the grass south of there, it's just some flurries. Same thing in crest in the red oak. Down to limone. I Greenfield through atlantic north of there about trace to an inch and then we start to see maybe some 123 inch amounts. Again, probably the lower end of this range for dodge Rockwell city towards Dennison, northwest of there and then southeast of interstate 35 about *** coating to an inch. And then we basically drop things off to nothing down towards the Missouri State line. Just *** few festive flakes during the afternoon. Again expecting things to change *** little bit but that's what we're thinking currently for Iowa. During this event temperatures dropping from the forties and the thirties perhaps twenties by dinnertime tomorrow. Much different afternoon blustery Wednesday at 28. *** slow warm up into the 50s again by Friday before temperatures return to seasonable levels
