Basketball makes up much of the local Monday schedule and includes four of Mountain Home’s junior high teams on the road for an outing with Marion. The eighth grade girls’ game tips off at 4 followed by the eighth grade boys and both freshman contests.
In other junior high action, Yellville-Summit hosts Kingston, Melbourne entertains Batesville, and Valley Springs is home against Berryville.
On the high school level, Dora’s girls will begin action in the Fordland Invitational Tournament. The Lady Falcons meet Houston at 6.
The Bev Stone Memorial Border Classic Tournament will get underway at Omaha. On the boys’ side, Green Forest and Blue Eye will tip off at 5:30, and Lead Hill faces Jasper at 8:30. Lead Hill’s girls take on Green Forest at 7.
Elsewhere, Mountain Home Christian Academy hosts Flippin for two girls’ games, Flippin will send three boys’ teams to Harrison, Calico Rock travels to Brockwell to play Izard County, the Gainesville girls make the trip to Willow Springs, Mountain View entertains Cave City, and Bergman heads to Searcy to meet Riverview.
