A Rockland County family was able to escape their burning home, thanks to an unlikely hero. The family living on Regina Court in Blauvelt was unaware their home was fire. An Amazon delivery driver driving past the house saw the fire, and alerted the family, and the fire department. As for the home, News 12 is told the roof collapsed and parts of the walls are gone.
A driver is in legal trouble after a crash in the Town of Ramapo. Police say no one was hurt in the one-car crash on Spook Rock Road. The driver says he lost control of the vehicle while speeding up to pass another vehicle. Multiple tickets were issued for unsafe driving.
An off-duty White Plains firefighter is being hailed a hero after saving a driver from a burning car in Connecticut. Brookfield resident Nicholas Perri Junior was on his way home from his shift in White Plains when he saw the car on fire on Route 7 North early Saturday morning.
