Business reports $12,000 check stolen in California: Brunswick Police Blotter

Theft: West 130th Street

A man reported Oct. 28 that he had sent a $12,400 check on behalf of his business to a company in California. The check was stolen by an unknown person and cashed in California. Police and United States postal inspectors were investigating the matter at the time of the report.

Drugs: Center Road

A driver was pulled over at 12:28 a.m. Oct. 28 for having just one functioning brake light. During the stop, a bag containing marijuana was observed in plain view and a grinder containing loose marijuana was located in the center console.

The Cleveland woman was issued citations for marijuana drug abuse and marijuana drug paraphernalia and was given a warning on the equipment violation.

Disturbance: Laurel Road

A woman called police at 6:37 p.m. Oct. 28 and reported that her ex-boyfriend had come to her house uninvited, entering through the front door.

The woman reportedly confronted the man and told him to leave, but there was no physical altercation between the two. The man left.

Drug abuse: West 130th Street

A Cuyahoga Falls man was cited for expired plates and drug abuse following a traffic stop at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 29. Marijuana was found inside the car during the stop.
