The week starts out on a chilly note Monday with plenty of clouds and highs struggling to reach 50, but temperatures will be all over the place this week as the pattern becomes active.
Impact weather arrives by the time we reach Tuesday and Wednesday with a chance for more rain and even thunderstorms.
Tuesday warms up into the lows 60s ahead of cold front. Most of the day should stay dry, but rain moves in late Tuesday evening, and continues into the night. The Storm Prediction Center has the chance for severe thunderstorms staying south and west of the WLKY viewing area Tuesday evening and Tuesday night, but we can't rule out an isolated severe storm in our area, especially south. However, the chance remains low. Stay tuned for any potential changes to the forecast.
Rain continues Wednesday morning with temperatures in the upper 50s. Once the front passes Wednesday morning, temperatures will crash into the 30s and 40s Wednesday afternoon. Check out how quickly temperatures drop Wednesday.
Thursday will be partly to mostly sunny and chilly with highs near 40. Friday warms up a bit with seasonable highs in the low to mid 50s under partly cloudy skies.
