Pickup truck crashes into train in San Bernardino on Feb. 8; driver is critically injured
A driver was critically injured when his pickup truck crashed into a train in San Bernardino on the afternoon of Feb. 8, according to the San Bernardino Police Department. Police said the driver of the pickup truck was traveling northbound on Rancho Avenue at an unsafe speed. He failed to stop for the guard crossing arm and collided into a Metrolink train which was traveling eastbound.

Fontana Police Department will conduct DUI checkpoint
The Fontana Police Department will conduct a driving under the influence (DUI) checkpoint on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. at an undisclosed location. DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on data showing incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off the road, police said.
