MARLIN, Texas (FOX 44) – UPDATE: The City of Marlin released an update on Friday morning saying electricity at the Marlin water plant has been restored. The City says the towers continue to have water reserves, but will need time to refill. Some homes remain without power, but Oncor crews are continuing efforts to restore power to everyone.

Temple, Texas (FOX44) – A Temple Police Department spokesperson says three men taken into custody are being held in connection with a Wednesday carjacking incident. Police said the call came in around 7:21 p.m. from the 2300 block of S. 57th Street. The victim told police that two men approached him while he pumped gas, pointed a gun at him and demanded his vehicle. They then drove off in it.

TEMPLE, Texas (FOX 44) – One person has died in a Temple crash. Temple Police officers responded around 6:30 a.m. Friday to the 11300 block of NW H.K. Dodgen Loop. The driver of a vehicle ran into a parked 18-wheeler. Police will have the road blocked down to one lane for a couple of hours.

REAGAN, Texas (FOX 44) – Icy bridges in Falls County result in a five-vehicle accident overnight. The Falls County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred on Highway 6 and FM-46. With the bridges icing over, three vehicles hit the guardrail of the bridge, and two more vehicles slid off into the ditch.

TEMPLE, Texas (FOX 44) – The Long Bridge of Highway 36 in Bell County was closed on both sides overnight due to a tractor-trailer accident. The Moffat Volunteer Fire Department, along with State Troopers and the Texas Department of Transportation, responded to the scene. The tractor-trailer was completely blocking the eastbound side.

TEMPLE, Texas (FOX 44) – No injuries have been reported in a Temple shooting, but a pickup truck was hit by bullets. Temple Police officers responded around 9:42 p.m. Thursday to the 900 block of Filly Lane in reference to a call of shots fired. When officers arrived, they discovered a pickup truck was hit by bullets in the 800 block of Filly Lane. Five shell casings were found on the ground.

NAVARRO COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle. Texas DPS says that around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Trooper Curtis Putz was hit by a vehicle while investigating a crash on Interstate 45 – near Mile Marker #220 in Navarro County. Trooper Putz was seriously injured and transported to a Dallas area hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Lily Wiser signed to play softball at Sul Ross State, Tyson Tamez signed to run cross country/track at Tarleton State and Mikal Harrison-Pilot signed to play football at Houston.

Ulissa Rivas signed to play softball at Bethany College, Faith Watson signed to play basketball at McPherson College and Darren Paul signed to play football at Oklahoma Panhandle State.
