A win in the regular season finale helped the Bruins hold onto their spot in the top 25.

UCLA football (9-3, 6-3 Pac-12) earned 618 points in the Week 14 edition of the AP Poll on Sunday, slotting them in at No. 17 in the country. The Bruins held onto their previous ranking despite so much chaos across the rest of the country, with 15 of the top 16 teams changing rankings following the weekend's results.

Unranked Cal had a chance to upset UCLA in Week 13, but the blue and gold rebounded from their back-to-back losses to Arizona and USC by holding strong down the stretch against the Golden Bears. The Bruins have ended the regular season 9-3, good for their best finish since 2014, which was also the last time they were part of the final AP Poll.

UCLA also came in at No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches Poll earlier on Sunday, moving up from No. 18 last week.

The penultimate College Football Playoff Rankings are set to come out Tuesday night. The Bruins came in at No. 12 in each of the first two weeks, but earned the No. 16 and No. 18 spots in each of the last two reveals.

Towards the top of the AP Poll, Georgia stayed put at No. 1 after taking care of business against Georgia Tech. Michigan moved up to No. 2 after beating rival Ohio State, who fell to No. 5 with thir first loss of the season. TCU took over at No. 3, while USC moved up to No. 4 after beating then-No. 13 Notre Dame.

Elsewhere in the Pac-12, Washington went from No. 12 to No. 9 after running away from Washington State late in Saturday's Apple Cup. Oregon dropped from No. 10 to No. 15 after losing to Oregon State, with the same result bumping the Beavers up from No. 22 to No. 16. Utah, meanwhile, climbed from No. 14 to No. 12 thanks to their dismantling of Colorado.

The Pac-12 has six teams in the top 25 – all of which are ranked No. 17 or higher – which is tied for the most by any conference. UCLA is the lowest-ranked of the West Coast bunch, though, and they are also the seventh-highest ranked of the eight Power Five 9-3 teams in the top 25.
