No one injured after 2 Cordele siblings exchanged gunfire in a McDonald’s parking lot
CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - WALB has received an update on the case of two siblings being arrested after a Saturday altercation led to a shooting.
Police responded to the area of Greer Street and 16th Avenue Saturday afternoon after a shooting.
Quendarius Robinson, 28, of Macon, was arrested on multiple charges after he shot into a vehicle that had two children under five years old inside, according to the Cordele Police Department (CPD).
Robinson was arrested on five counts of aggravated assault, two counts of second-degree cruelty to children, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of second-degree criminal damage to property, two counts of criminal interference to government property and two counts of obstruction.
The two siblings were arrested for shooting at each other after an altercation. The two had been traveling together from Macon before the altercation happened.
No injuries were reported but there was property damage, including rounds from Robinson that went through the front windows of the McDonald’s playground area, CPD says.
After fleeing from police after the shooting, CPD says Robinson kicked out the back window of one of the patrol cars and damaged another.
Robinson’s brother, who was originally charged in the shooting, had his charges dropped after he cooperated with police and only shot back out of self-defense, police say.
The investigation is ongoing.
