Reboot won't be getting a second chance at Hulu: the streamer has canceled the meta-comedy series after a single eight-episode season. But the show-within-a-show — about the dysfunctional cast of an early 2000s sitcom who must face their unresolved issues when they reunite for a modern-era reboot on Hulu — could see a second season on another platform. According to Deadline, series creator Steve Levitan (Modern Family) and Disney's 20th Television are looking to shop the Hulu original elsewhere. The outlet reports another streamer has already requested to read scripts from the planned season 2.

The future of the DC Universe is headed into new territory, now that DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have announced the plans for the first ten projects on their slate. The duo's plans for the franchise are particularly interesting, as Gunn has made it clear that some existing roles within the franchise will be recast, while others will continue to be played by the same actors. Two major stars of the current crop of films whose futures are currently unknown are are Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and The Flash star Ezra Miller, and there's been a lot of speculation about whether they both could return in a potential sequel in this new DCU or otherwise.

CBS is rebooting Matlock, with a twist. On Tuesday, TVLine reported that CBS has ordered a pilot for a new version of the classic series, with Oscar winner set to play the titular lawyer. It's a twist on the original Matlock, which ran for six seasons on NBC before then running for an additional three on ABC and starred Andy Griffith as folksy criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock.

Magic Mike's Last Dance is hitting theaters this month, and it will mark the third film of the franchise after Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL. Channing Tatum is returning to play the titular role, and this time he's teaming up with Eternals star Salma Hayek. Recently, Hayek appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and revealed Tatum's lap dance "nearly killed" her.

Strangers in Paradise creator Terry Moore, an Eisner-winning cartoonist who celebrates 30 years in the comics industry this year, is launching his first crowdfunding campaign today on Kickstarter. Moore, whose latest project is the Strangers in Paradise spinoff Parker Girls, has been celebrated for nearly his entire career for his approach to writing and drawing women lead characters, and with Terry Moore After Dark..., is sharing some of his "good girl" art featuring Francine and Katchoo from Strangers. The pin-up-style art is hugely popular with Moore's fans as convention sketches and on his YouTube page, where he sketches and talks about the comics industry from inside of his studio with wife and publisher Robyn Moore.

Tuesday was a huge day for DC fans with DC Studios unveiling the first details of their upcoming slate of movies and HBO Max shows. Over recent months, the future of the franchise has been the topic of a lot of discussion, speculation, and rumors regarding what characters — and actors — will appear in the new era of the DC Universe. Among those discussions has been Aquaman star Jason Momoa's future and now, DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran are addressing the rumors about Momoa and if Lobo is in his future.

King of the Hill has been officially announced to return for new episodes with a special revival coming to Hulu, and one of the immediately pressing questions of this new series is how the team will address the absence of Luanne and Lucky, previously voiced by the late Brittany Murphy and Tom Petty. King of the Hill was one of Fox's biggest animated sitcoms during its initial run several years ago, and much of that was due to the strength of the main cast. But unfortunately in the years since the series came to an end, there have been several unfortunate losses in that regard.

Chainsaw Man's anime adaptation became one of the biggest new series of last year, bringing in countless new fans to the tragic tale of Denji and a world plagued by man-eating devils that continue to roam the streets in the Shonen Universe from creator Tatsuki Fujimoto. While a second season from Studio MAPPA has yet to be confirmed at this point, the bloody manga that started it all is continuing to churn out new chapters as Denji finds himself in a tricky relationship that has given fans an interesting look into his new life.

Squid Game is a dystopian story that features a gaggle of unfortunate souls looking to pay off debts and/or win enough money so that their problems will be a thing of the past, and the series became one of Netflix's biggest surprise hits when the first season arrived in 2021. Now, the streaming service is aiming to capitalize on the show's success by creating a reality show that sees participants compete in far-less deadly games for cash. Unfortunately, it would seem that troubles have arisen during the production of this unique series.
