Authorities are investigating a shooting that took the life of a 17-year-old in Harrisburg yesterday.

According to the Director of Communications for the City of Harrisburg, Matt Maisel, the shooting had happened on 3rd and Kelker Streets shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Harrisburg Police say that the victim was a 17-year-old boy who had suffered from a fatal gunshot wound.

Officials say that the investigation is ongoing and that anyone with information should contact Harrisburg Police at 717-558-6900, or submit an anonymous tip here.
