NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 22-year-old Bronx woman was charged late Sunday after her young children were found fatally stabbed in the shelter where they lived, police said.

Dimone Fleming was arrested on two counts of murder with depraved indifference to a person under 11 years old.

The charges came a day after her sons—Dashawn Fleming, 3 years, and Octavius Fleming-Canada, 11 months, were stabbed to death.

Police were initially called to the building, 246 Echo Pl. in the Mount Hope section, with reports of a woman acting erratically around 7:20 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a woman naked acting “irrationally,”, officials said.

Cops took Fleming into custody. They were then called back to the building about a half-hour later and found her children unresponsive with multiple stab wounds throughout their bodies, police said.

A family member and responding officers attempted CPR on the boys until an ambulance arrived, but the children were ultimately pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
