Austin area to see slightly warmer temps this week

We've got some rain chances in the forecast for this week and a couple cold fronts on the way. FOX 7 Austin meteorologist Carlo Falco breaks it down.

AUSTIN, Texas - We started our Saturday very foggy. A dense fog advisory was in effect until 10 a.m. Today we will warm up from the 30s to 60. Tomorrow will be even warmer with a high of 70, which is excellent news for those who still don't have power.

AUSTIN, Texas - Small businesses in Austin were hit pretty hard during the winter storm's power outages, including Vegan Nom Food Park, who also got burglarized. The Vegan Nom took to Instagram to share that the food park was burglarized during the winter storm and Milky Way got hit the hardest.

Thousands of residents are still without power Sunday afternoon. Austin Energy says that restoring power to remaining customers will likely be "more difficult and take longer" because their outages are likely due to more heavily damaged equipment that will require complex repairs.

AUSTIN, Texas - Power outages in Central Texas from this week's ice storm are affecting everyone, even Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver. Stuver took to Twitter Saturday evening to report that he has been without power for just over three days, but that according to Austin Energy's outage map, the first report was received Saturday.

AUSTIN, Texas - More crews from other utilities joined Austin Energy's efforts to restore power to residents following the recent ice storm in Central Texas, says the city. AUSTIN, Texas - 34 baby squirrels are now in the care of the Austin Wildlife Rescue after the winter storm that froze Central Texas this week. The nonprofit says that many squirrels have already had babies this time of year and many squirrel nests fell when ice caused tree branches to fall.
