Lights on Main returns to Louisville for third year
TOMORROW. 100 DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREES ARE ON DISPLAY REPURPOSED ON WEST MAIN STREET RIGHT NOW. THIS IS THE THIRD YEAR FOR LIGHTS ON MAIN SPONSORED BY. I WOULD RATHER BE READING THAT’S A LOCAL ORGANIZATION THAT SERVES CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA. PROCEEDS FROM GUEST THE PAID TO VOTE ON THEIR FAVORITE TREE AND OTHER ACTIVITIES LIKE SANTA PHOTOS WILL BENEFIT THE NONPROFIT IT THOSE WHO WHO HAVE STUMBLED UPON IT THEY’VE REALLY ENJOYED IT. SOME WHO ACTUALLY LOOKED FOR IT SCOUTED OUT AND CAME OUT WERE NOT DISSATISFIED AT ALL. THEY WERE VERY EXCITED AND VERY HAPPY FOR THE TURNOUT. LIGHTS ON MAIN WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS, BUT THE TREES WILL BE ON DISPLAY UNTIL SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11. AND JEFFERSONVILLE WAS THE PLACE TO BE TONIGHT FOR THOSE WANTING TO GET IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT, THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY LIGHTS PARADE KICKED OFF EARLIER TONIGHT ON SEBRING’S STREET AND WITH 35 FLOATS. I THINK THAT’S ACTUALLY A FIRE TRUCK, DANIEL. AND NEARLY 100 CARS AND JEEPS. THIS PARADE STRETCHED ON FOR BLOCKS A

One-hundred decorated Christmas trees are on display on in the RePurposed lot on West Main Street in downtown Louisville. This is the third year for Lights on Main, sponsored by I Would Rather Be Reading, a local organization that serves children who have experienced trauma.Proceeds from guests that paid to vote on their favorite tree and other activities like Santa photos will benefit the nonprofit."Those who have stumbled upon it really enjoy it. Some who have actually looked for it, scouted it out, and came for it where not dissatisfied at all. They were very excited and very happy," said Leslie Chapman, community outreach coordinator.Lights on Main will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays but the trees will be on display until Sunday, Dec. 11.And in Jeffersonville, the annual holiday lights parade kicked off on Spring Street with with 35 floats and nearly 100 cars and jeeps.The parade stretched on for blocks before coming to a close.Warder Park was officially lit up for the season.
