Lights on Main returns to Louisville for third year
One-hundred decorated Christmas trees are on display on in the RePurposed lot on West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
This is the third year for Lights on Main, sponsored by I Would Rather Be Reading, a local organization that serves children who have experienced trauma.
Proceeds from guests that paid to vote on their favorite tree and other activities like Santa photos will benefit the nonprofit.
"Those who have stumbled upon it really enjoy it. Some who have actually looked for it, scouted it out, and came for it where not dissatisfied at all. They were very excited and very happy," said Leslie Chapman, community outreach coordinator.
Lights on Main will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays but the trees will be on display until Sunday, Dec. 11.
And in Jeffersonville, the annual holiday lights parade kicked off on Spring Street with with 35 floats and nearly 100 cars and jeeps.
The parade stretched on for blocks before coming to a close.
Warder Park was officially lit up for the season.
