Officers say 32-year-old Ruben Martinez of Visalia was driving a pickup truck on SR 198 and for unknown reasons ignored the red light and cross onto the path of another vehicle.

That vehicle was an Infinity with 40-year-old Veronica Galaviz of Exeter as the driver along with five children inside.

Due to the impact, CHP says the Infinity was forced onto two other vehicles nearby.
