A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition and a 41-year-old woman is injured after both victims were struck by gunfire in the Broadway East neighborhood on Saturday evening, according to Baltimore City Police Department.
Police say, at about 6:20 p.m., officers were sent to a shot spotter alert in the 2000 block of E. North Avenue.
Officers found a 17-year-old boy who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh and provided potential life-saving medical treatment before medics came to the scene, said the department.
City police say, medics took the boy to an area hospital where the victim is currently in critical condition.
Also, a second victim, a 41-year-old woman, was found in the 1800 block of N. Chester Street. She was suffering from a non-life-threatening graze wound to her shoulder and is being treated at an area hospital.
