Death toll in Indonesian earthquake increases exponentially

(CNN) - The death toll from Monday's earthquake in Indonesia's West Java Province has risen to 318 people.

Rescue efforts are still underway.

Officials said Saturday that fourteen people remain missing.

Furthermore, the natural disaster damaged tens of thousands of homes.

Nearly half of them suffered the most damage.

Disaster officials say they've built 14 shelters for those who lost their homes.
