PCC Superintendent/President Speaks Out on Tax Measure

First published in the Nov. 17 print issue of the Pasadena Outlook.

With Measure PCC leading in returns with 69% of the vote, Pasadena City College Superintendent/President Erika Endrijonas offered her thoughts on the measure, which will provide $565 million to fund new construction and renovation of a range of facilities at Pasadena City College’s campuses across the West San Gabriel Valley.
“We are so grateful for the support we are seeing from our community tonight,” Endrijonas said. “This vote gives a big thumbs-up to all the hard work the faculty, students, staff and administrators are doing at Pasadena City College.
“Measure PCC gives us the ability to begin realizing our facilities plans, providing the classrooms, labs, common spaces and services our students need as we enter PCCs second century of serving our community,” she added. “We look forward to partnering with folks throughout our community to responsibly manage these resources, ensuring they benefit our students for generations to come.”
