How to Get Heracross Claws in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Heracross Claws is one of the many materials you can get directly from Pokémon. As the title suggests, you can get Heracross Claws in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet directly from the Heracross Pokémon. Luckily, there is no kill mechanic in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and all you have to do to get Heracross Claws is defeat or catch Heracross.
Each win or capture of a Pokémon will reward you with one to three Heracross Claws, so farming won’t take long. And once you get this material, you can craft one of the following TMs:
- TM053 Smart Strike
- TM134 Reversal

But before we go that far, you should find Heracross. Like any other Pokemon, Heracross can occasionally walk in any game location but still has several main habitats:
- Visit the vast forest at the back end of the game map near Casseroya Lake.
- In addition, you can go to the eastern part of the game world and visit North Province Area One. There are quite a few Heracross here too.
Once you have found at least one Heracross, you should challenge him. Since Heracross is a Bug and Fighting-type Pokémon, it is incredibly vulnerable to Flying, Fire, Psychic and Fairy-type attacks. Flying-type attacks will deal Heracross +400% damage, while others deal +200% damage. Therefore, be guided by this information before choosing an opponent for Heracross. And after you win, you have to decide whether to catch him or let him go. But don’t worry, you’ll get Heracross Claws anyway.
