Braelon Allen has been ruled out as Wisconsin and Minnesota play for Paul Bunyan’s Axe on Saturday.

The RB has been dealing with a lingering shoulder injury that he sustained in the win over Purdue. In the Badgers close win over Nebraska last Saturday, Allen also injured his ankle in the last quarter of the game. According to the Wisconsin Injury report, it’s the ankle injury that will keep Allen off the field on Saturday.

It’s a huge loss for the Badgers, as Allen is a huge impact player that has been a key part of the Wisconsin offense this season. Allen dismissed rumors earlier this month that he would be taking his talents to the transfer portal and potentially a move to Michigan, saying “the only thing I can really say for me is On Wisconsin.”

Allen has amassed 1,121 yards and 10 TDs this season for the Badgers, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. The RB is also the B1G’s 4th-leading rusher, averaging 102 yards per game. Allen has had 100 yards rushing in seven out of ten games this season.
