Constantine 2: Keanu Reeves Says He Annoyed Warner Brothers Until Studio Agreed to Sequel
A sequel to 2005's Constantine is finally in development, with filmmaker Francis Lawrence set to direct Keanu Reeves in the role again. For Reeves, this is the end result of years of campaigning to return to the role -- first privately, within Warner Bros., and later publicly. Whenever asked, Reeves has said that he would love to revisit Constantine, including a famous interview clip with CBS's Stephen Colbert, in which Reeves has to convince a surprised Colbert that his name alone wasn't enough to get a sequel greenlit.

James Gunn Teases Future for Michael Keaton's Batman
On Tuesday, DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Pater Safran introduced the first projects in their rebooted shared cinematic universe, but does Micahel Keaton's Batman have a place in it? Keaton had been expected to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader (which he first played in 1989's Batman and its sequel, Batman Returns) in The Flash, Batgirl, and possibly beyond. But with The Flash expected to relaunch the entire DC cinematic universe, and Batgirl shelved, his future is now unclear. As far as Keaton's possible return, Safran teased to the press, "There's always possibilities." Gunn expanded on that, noting that "We are a multiverse still."

Star Trek: Jonathan Frakes on the Franchise's Future
Paramount+ released the final trailer for Star Trek: Picard Season 3 on Sunday night but star Jonathan Frakes is hoping this isn't the last time fans will see the Enterprise crew together. Star Trek: Picard's final season reassembles the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast to close out this chapter of Jean-Luc Picard's life. Frakes reprises his role as William Riker, Picard's former first officer who is now a Starfleet captain. While Star Trek: Picard's story may be coming to an end, Frakes tells SFX Magazine that he thinks it leaves the Next Gen crew poised for another adventure.

Star Trek: Picard Showrunner Reveals Major Change From Next Generation
Paramount+ is getting ready to release the next season of Star Trek: Picard and it'll be eventful to say the least. From what we've seen in the first trailer for the new season, we'll see plenty of fan favorites returning with showrunner Terry Matalas revealing that he wants it to be a continuation of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Matalas also commented on the possibility of a spin-off series revealing that there actually aren't any plans at this time. Now the executive producer is revealing something else. Hulu Cancels Fan-Favorite Reboot After One Season
Reboot won't be getting a second chance at Hulu: the streamer has canceled the meta-comedy series after a single eight-episode season. But the show-within-a-show — about the dysfunctional cast of an early 2000s sitcom who must face their unresolved issues when they reunite for a modern-era reboot on Hulu — could see a second season on another platform. According to Deadline, series creator Steve Levitan (Modern Family) and Disney's 20th Television are looking to shop the Hulu original elsewhere. The outlet reports another streamer has already requested to read scripts from the planned season 2.

James Gunn On Future R-Rated DC Projects, Reveals Superman: Legacy's Rating
Times are changing in the DC Universe. Co-heads of DC Studios James Gunn and Peter Safran unveiled their plans for Chapter 1 of a semi-rebooted DC Universe today, one which will still release upcoming already-finished projects like Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Blue Beetle but will also include a number of new films and television programs that take the franchise in a fresh direction. Much of that will be thanks to The Flash, as Gunn confirmed that the events of that film "reset" the entire DC Universe. Superman: Legacy and beyond will be proper canon in the DC Universe going forward, while upcoming sequels like The Batman: Part II and Joker: Folie à Deux will exist in their own elseworlds pockets.

James Gunn Releases DC Slate Announcement Video
Not only did James Gunn and Peter Safran reveal a diverse slate of projects for the next few years of DC Studios, but he has now taken to social media to share a short, promotional video in which he expresses the pitch in his own word. Projects announced today include Superman: Legacy, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and Swamp Thing, all headed to theaters, along with Booster Gold, Creature Commandos, and a Wonder Woman prequel called Paradise Lost heading to TV. The projects will spin out of the events of The Flash, which will be a soft reboot for the DC Universe...but Aquaman and Blue Beetle, among others, will still be canon to the new timeline.

Bad Boys 4 Announced With Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Returning
Bad Boys 4 with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence is on the way according to the film's stars. Sony Pictures has confirmed to Variety that the untitled sequel is already in early pre-production Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah are back in the saddle after their success with Bad Boys for Life. The duo managed to find the right balance of humor and action in reviving the hit movie franchise. Getting Smith and Lawrence together again proved key for movie-goers. It had been years since Bad Boys II graced movie-screens. Producing the sequel will be Jerry Bruckheimer and Will Smith's Westbrook Productions. Doug Belgrad and Chad Oman also produce alongside Lawrence, James Lassiter, Barry Waldman, Mike Stenson and Jon Mone.

John Wick: Chapter 4 Releases New Images
Lionsgate has released new images from John Wick: Chapter 4. The images come via Total Film as part of the magazine's cover story on the upcoming movie. The new images include shots of returning stars Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Ian McShane as the Continental manager Winston, and Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King. There's also a new look at Donnie Yen, playing blind assassin Caine, one of Wick's old allies and a member of the High Table. That likely means that he'll be making trouble for Wick in the sequel after Wick went against the High Table in the previous films.

While the Arrowverse's Supergirl featured a character who was a literal paragon of hope and a bright, shining light in the universe, the DC Universe Supergirl movie will center on a version of the character who is tortured by the loss of her homeworld and everyone she loves.

Total Film posted the shot as Adonis Creed and Damian Anderson get ready to do battle in the ring. As the trailers have hinted, the two have a shared past. Audiences love Jordan and Majors has become the biggest profile actor in the MCU this year with his introduction as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. John Cena's Acting Schedule Will Conflict With WWE WrestleMania 39 Season
John Cena has been heavily rumored for WrestleMania 39 for the past few months, but his busy acting schedule might keep him away from WWE TV up until the show itself. Variety reported on Tuesday that the upcoming R-Rated comedy Ricky Stanicky, starring Zac Efron and John Cena, will start production next month in Melbourne, Australia and run through March. This past fall, Warner Bros. branded its superhero division under one specific umbrella, DC Studios, led by The Suicide Squad director James Gunn and Shazam! producer Peter Safran.
