Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed why they used Ant-Man to kick off Phase 5. In a new featurette for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, the executive talked about their love of the unexpected with Scott Lang. Basically, every time they've used the character, it feels like a bit of a zig. His first appearance was pretty lighthearted when the MCU was at some really serious points. Everyone remembers his huge role and fan-favorite status after Captain America: Civil War. And, the stinger of Ant-Man and The Wasp remains one of the most effective Marvel post-credit stingers. So, it's not exactly a leap to make Paul Rudd's Avenger do battle with the Multiverse Saga's final boss by himself. Check out the video for yourself down below!

Marvel Reveals the Identity of the Most Important Avenger in the Multiverse
Readers finally learned who the mysterious Avenger Prime is in the pages of Avengers Forever. "Avengers Assemble" is a crossover event between Jason Aaron's Avengers and Avengers Forever titles, marking the end of his multi-year run on Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The current-day Avengers are teaming up with heroes from across the multiverse to battle Mephisto and the Multiversal Masters of Evil. One of Marvel's Free Comic Book Day titles last year teased this epic story, while also introducing a figure called Avenger Prime who watches over Avengers Tower at the God Quarry. Marvel teased the revealing of Avenger Prime's identity, and now the time has come to find out who he really is.

The new event comic Sins of Sinister #1 puts the X-Men villain Mr. Sinister center-stage. The last few months of X-Men stories (in books like Immortal X-Men) have seen many big reveals about Sinister drop. In this new "Dawn of X" era, Sinister was begrudingly brought into mutantkind's new island nation of Krakoa, where he served on the Quiet Council that rules the island and determines the course of mutantkind. However, two other council members – Mystique and her wife Destiny – were all too aware of the threat Sinister truly presented, and have been moving to counter him all along.

Uncharted Boss Says Naughty Dog Is "Moving On" From the Series
Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann has made it clear that the studio is leaving the Uncharted series in the past — at least for now. In recent years, questions have arisen about what Naughty Dog will look to do in the wake of releasing The Last of Us Part 2. While some fans have wanted to see the studio make a direct sequel with The Last of Us Part 3, others have hoped that it would return to Uncharted in some capacity. And even though Naughty Dog has previously left the door open to coming back to Uncharted, it doesn't sound like that will be happening any longer.

My Hero Academia Cosplay Brings Back Midnight
My Hero Academia has said goodbye to many of the heroes and villains in the series thanks to the events of the Paranormal Liberation Front War arc in the first half of the anime's sixth season, and one awesome cosplay has brought back Midnight to the spotlight to help celebrate her time in the series! There were a few notable heroes that lost their lives during the course of the war, but the biggest undoubtedly was Midnight as she used her final moments to give Momo Yaoyorozu and the other hero students one last task before she was taken down by the heroes.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Receives Five Oscar Nominations
2018's Black Panther opened the forbidden door between Marvel Studios and the Academy Awards, and 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is walking right through. The Ryan Coogler-directed sequel received a total of five Oscar nominations, including the first-ever acting nod for Marvel Studios in the form of Angela Bassett's best supporting actress nod. Beyond Bassett, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was nominated for best original song, best costume design, make-up & hairstyling, and best visual effects. These five nominations are down from its predecessor, as 2018's Black Panther received seven total nods four years ago.

Apex Legends LTM Teases New Season 16 Feature
Apex Legends players believe they may have spotted a new hop-up coming to the game in Season 16 thanks to the game's newest limited-time mode. One of the tooltips for the Hardcore Mode that's in the game now appears to have included an image showing off plans for an L-Star hop-up, though Respawn Entertainment naturally hasn't said anything directly about the matter. Past leaks, however, have given players something to go off of in terms of how this suspected hop-up might perform.

Xbox Game Pass Users are Obsessed with "Amazing" New Game
Yesterday's Xbox Bethesda Developer Direct had a handful of announcements, but the biggest was easily Hi-Fi Rush. Developer Tango Gameworks shocked fans with a colorful new game unlike anything it had released in the past. Even better, the game was made available shortly after the presentation on Xbox Game Pass and Steam, allowing players to try Hi-Fi Rush last night. While reviewers were not given the game ahead of time, player response has been overwhelmingly positive thus far. It remains to be seen whether players will continue to stick with the game, but it looks like Xbox has a big hit on its hands!

Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Gets Transformed Into Lobo After DCU Rumors
Jason Momoa has been hinting a big news for the DC Universe for the past few months, and he recently teased something pretty major. There are rumors that Momoa could leave his Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom role behind and play a new character in James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Studios slate, but the actor has denied that pretty heavily. Gunn and Safran will unveil their new DC Studios slate later this month, and no one except the higher ups at Warner Bros. Discovery seems to know exactly what will happen. Momoa is rumored to be cast as Loboin the new DC Universe and one artist has created a cool new design that shows how he could look as the character.

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Showrunner Hints Some Next Generation Crew May Not Survive
The Star Trek: The Next Generation cast will reunite for Star Trek: Picard's third and final season, but it's possible that not all of their characters will survive the experience. While the TNG cast has teased on multiple occasions that there may be more Star Trek adventures in their future, showrunner Terry Matalas can't guarantee the safety of the former Enterprise-D senior crew. Matalas confirmed this in a new interview with SFX Magazine, where he discusses the future of the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew post-Star Trek: Picard's finale. In the interview, he does note that should a character fall in the season, Star Trek's sci-fi setting means you never know when they might come back.

Star Wars has now introduced something older and possibly of greater power than either. SPOILERS for the Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode "Entombed" follow. "Entombed" brings a different energy to The Bad Batch than what's typical for a Star Wars story. The episode finds the Batch between missions for Cid. Omega and Wrecker go looking for valuable scraps. While Tech doesn't recognize anything of value in their haul, Phee Genoa, Cid's treasure-hunting friend, does.

Infinity Pool is earning its fair share of praise from critics, earning a positive review score on RottenTomatoes and commonly seeing compliments fly around on social media. Super Mario Movie Toys Officially Revealed With New Images
While several toys from The Super Mario Bros. Movie accidentally made their way to retail early, Jakks Pacific has finally pulled back the curtain on some of the figures that are supposed to release next month. The line includes Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach, all sporting looks that appear similar to what we've seen from the Illumination Entertainment film thus far. Each one features an accessory: Mario has a plunger, Toad has a frying pan, Peach has a parasol, and Luigi has the same yellow flashlight as his new McDonald's toy.
