Clayton Hinson

Clayton Hinson, 69, of Dover, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Henry County Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Murray, Kentucky, Tuesday, June 9, 1953, the beloved son of the late William Edward and Imogene Causey Hinson. Clayton was a hard worker and provider for his family, working as a self-employed carpenter.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Clayton was a knife and gun advocate. As a young man, Clayton enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite times were spent sitting on the back porch, watching the hummingbirds and the flag wave, while listening to the radio.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 45 years: Lana Heaton Hinson; his loving children: Crystal March (Donald) and Carrie Quinn (Scott); his brother: Larry Hinson (Ann); his sisters; Shirley Hartman and Diane Murphy (Bob); his precious grandchildren: Ravan Brown, Destiny Buie, Lahanna Juckett, Landon Juckett, Landreanna Sanford, and Kaelyn March.

A graveside service will be held at the Bumpus Mills Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Jerry Shelton and Bro. William Gray officiating. Those serving as pallbearers are Landon Juckett, Marshall Nichols, Donald March, Brian Hyde, Payton Marquess, and Brad Curvin.
