New Hyde Park man killed in Wantagh State Parkway crash
State police say it happened just before 9 p.m. Gaetano Decrescenzo, of New Hyde Park, was driving southbound near Exit 4 in Hempstead.

Police: Nesconset man arrested for committing lewd act in front of young girl, mother
1h agoA 68-year-old man was killed in a crash Friday night on the Wantagh State Parkway.
State police say it happened just before 9 p.m. Gaetano Decrescenzo, of New Hyde Park, was driving southbound near Exit 4 in Hempstead.
They say he was in the right lane when he left the roadway onto the right shoulder.
He then hit a light pole and continued into the woods, striking several trees.
Decrescenzo was pronounced dead at the scene.
