The Oakland Schools Education Foundation raised $70,000 that will go directly to Oakland schools’ four technical campuses’ students who have been outstanding scholars and leaders in and out of the classroom.
The October “Everybody Needs a Laugh” comedy fundraiser in Pontiac drew more than 400 people..
“This is one of the most important events you will attend this year. We’re here to laugh and have fun, but we’re also here for a much greater cause,” said Superintendent Dr. Wanda Cook-Robinson. “Every dollar raised will make a difference in our children’s future.”
Scholarships for Success will be awarded to student recipients in late April 2023.
