SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – On Saturday, the City of Sharon hosted its annual Small Business Saturday celebration.

Their annual event grew a lot this year to include a holiday pop-up shop and more.

The pop-up market allowed for local businesses without a physical storefront to sell their items. It also allowed businesses that are moving into the downtown area a chance to preview their brand to the public.

Sharon’s city manager says today previewed what people can expect to see in 2023.

“It’s going to look drastically different. You know, we’re going to have more of a riverfront feel as we talk about the river and recreation and really the experience as you come downtown,” said Bob Fiscus, city manager.

Fiscus said there are more entertainment and dining options coming to Sharon.

The city also welcomed new business to the downtown area – including Wandering Souls. Also – Gifted by Applegate recently introduced a tea and coffee bar inside their shop.

Fiscus said if you missed out on checking out these businesses, stop by and see what all the buzz is about in the downtown area.

Our team is also highlighting small businesses in our area. You can watch them on our Small Business Saturday show.
