A WACO Warriors wrestler will be continuing her career at the next level. Bralyyn Wagler signed her letter of intent to continue wrestling at Cornell College in Cedar Rapids. Wagler went 8-18 as a junior but still finished eighth in the state in the 220-pound weight class. Wagler told KCII Sports why she wants to continue to pursue wrestling at Cornell College.

“I was able to talk with the coaches and meet some of the girls on the team, and it was just a really welcoming environment,” Wagler said. “And I really liked the campus. [Wrestling] gave me something to do and became the thing I look forward to the most throughout the day, and I just wanted to continue doing it, even when it comes to pursing coaching with it, just because I feel like it helps a lot of people. And it’s just a really fun activity, and I really enjoy it.”

Wagler is off to an excellent start to her senior season, going 3-1 and picking up the West Liberty Tournament championship at 235 lbs. She’ll next wrestle for WACO at a round-robin event at BGM in Brooklyn.
