Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is looking to lead the Eagles to their 10th win of the season Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni had a very emotional weekend in Indianapolis last Sunday. Sirianni served as the offensive coordinator with the Colts for three seasons and was back on the Lucas Oil Stadium sidelines, hoping to win and get back at the Colts, who fired his mentor Frank Reich.

The Eagles came away with the 17-16 win, and Sirianni accomplished what he wanted to, at one point yelling at the fans, “That s*** was for Frank Reich.”

Sirianni talked about how emotional the win was for him and why he said that to the fans in attendance.

“I was brought to tears too when I was coming off the field there,” Sirianni said. “I’ve always kind of been emotional…Yelling to our fans after the game, whether I’m yelling to them after an Indy game or thanking them after the Houston game or the Arizona game, I just think that’s something that the people that went to the game and who are Eagles fans that are traveling to the game, I can show my appreciation to them on that.”

Sirianni and the Eagles (9-1) will now turn their sights to the Green Bay Packers (4-7), who currently find themselves tied with the Detroit Lions for second in the NFC North, but significantly trailing the Minnesota Vikings (9-2).

The Packers are still led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who may not be having one of his signature seasons, but is beginning to develop a rapport with rookie wide receiver Christian Watson. The Packers enter with the 15th-best offense in the league (344.9 yards per game). The Packers defense has been playing well against the pass, allowing only 192.5 yards per game, the fifth-lowest total in the league.

Will the Eagles find a way to beat Rodgers and move to 10-1, or will the Packers start a run that they hope will end with a playoff spot?

Here is what our NJ Advance Media’s NFL writers think:

Chris Franklin, Eagles beat reporter

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the type of quarterback who could give the Eagles issues because he can get the ball out quickly and accurately. The Packers also have running back Aaron Jones, who can run effectively. However, the Eagles appear to have solved their run defense issues, which could force the Packers to become one-dimensional. The Eagles win their 10th game of the season, and talk of when they clinch a playoff spot will begin.

Darryl Slater, Giants beat reporter

The Packers are going nowhere this season, at 4-7. Will Aaron Rodgers even want to return in 2023, at this rate? Very winnable home game here for the Eagles. And they will win it, improving to 10-1, as they continue to look like a legit Super Bowl contender.

Bob Brookover, Giants beat reporter:

Those who thought Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had turned a corner by beating the Cowboys ended up being sadly mistaken when the Titans went into Lambeau Field and handed Green Bay their seventh loss in 11 games. The Eagles struggled to beat the Colts in Indy, but they will want to redeem themselves in front of their home fans after losing to the Commanders in Week 10.

PICK: Eagles 26, Packers 20

Andy Vasquez, Jets beat reporter

The Packers looked like they just might be getting back into the playoff hunt, until last week’s disastrous performance against the Titans. Now, they face the best team in the NFC, and while the Eagles have had their struggles in recent weeks – losing to the Commanders and barely beating the Colts – their defense has let up more than 17 points just once in the past six weeks. They shouldn’t have any trouble driving the final nail into the coffin of the playoff hopes of Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ listless offense.
