Henry County Public Health released their December schedule, and will be administering COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots on Thursdays throughout the month. Walk-in appointments are available Thursday, December 1 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 8 and 29 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Area residents can receive a COVID-19 vaccine and/or flu shots on these dates. Anyone 5 years of age or older is eligible for the COVID vaccine, as long as it’s been at least 2 months from the last dose in the primary series, or the most recent booster. The new Moderna and Pfizer boosters protecting against the original strain and omicron variants are available as well.

COVID shots will only be given on Thursdays, but flu shots are available during regular immunization clinic hours on Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. COVID vaccines are no cost, and flu shots are $40, unless billed to an insurance provider.

For homebound residents, a Public Health staff member is available by appointment and can travel to you to administer either vaccine. To set up an appointment, or with additional questions call 319-385-0779 or visit healthyhenrycounty.org/covid.
