Boston College Too Much For Morgan State In Finale

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Nov. 25, 2022)—Andrea Daley scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting to lead three Eagles players in double figures scoring to lead Boston College past Morgan State, 75-34 on Friday evening at Roberto Clemente Coliseum. It was the Lady Bears' final contest of the Puerto Rico Clasico.
 
Boston College (5-2) shot 52 percent (27-of-52) from the floor and went 17-for-27 (63 percent) from the free throw line.
 
Maria Gakdeng shot 5-for-6 and finished with 11 points, while Dontavia Waggoner shot 3-for-4 and added 10 points and six rebounds.
 
Defensively, the Eagles would hold Morgan State to 23 percent (11-for-48) shooting for the game, 16.7 percent (1-for-6) from beyond the three-point arc and 50 percent (11-for-22) from the free throw line.
 
Ja'Niah Henson scored a team-high 13 points and recorded a game-high four steals. Emily Jones, Charlene Shepherd and Maiya Bumbray each recorded three rebounds to lead the Lady Bears.
 
Boston College closed out the first quarter on a 19-3 run to take a 24-7 advantage and led 40-17 at the intermission.
 
Morgan State will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 30 when it visits crosstown rival Towson at 7 p.m. at SECU Arena.
