‘Holidays in Trinidad’ Festivities Announced

flyer for holidays in trinidadThe Trinidad community is gearing up for three days of festivities to celebrate Holidays in Trinidad, organized by the Trinidad Civic Club with sponsors Forbes & Associates–Sarah Corliss, The Eatery & The Gallery, Lighthouse Grill & Headies, Moonstone Crossing Winery, Seascape Restaurant & Santa’s Workshop at the Harbor, Trinidad Art Gallery, Trinidad Chamber of Commerce, Trinidad Coastal Land Trust, Trinidad Museum, Trinidad Trading Company & Windansea.  Special events, menus and gifts at these venues will add to the celebration.

On Saturday, Dec. 3rd:  Tour the Trinidad Head Lighthouse with Trinidad Museum docents from 10 am – noon.  

Shop for gifts at FleaArt with crafts and vendors in the Town Hall, organized by Penny Gunn, from 11 am – 3 pm.  

Visit the Clubroom for the Civic Club’s Holiday Boutique, featuring jewelry, memorabilia, ornaments, décor` and more.  Sales benefit the Memorial Lighthouse Project.  To support the Clubs Knock, Knock, Give a Sock campaign for the Betty Chinn Foundation and the Eureka Rescue Mission, please bring new or gently used socks (men, women, children).  Holiday decorations, jewelry and other items of value can be donated to the Club.  ([email protected] or 707-677-3655)

On Sunday, Dec. 4th:  The Holiday Boutique will be open from 9 am – 5 pm with unique gift offerings.  The McKinleyville Community Choir Holiday Concert will begin at 3 pm, bringing the joy of song to delight the audience.  Donations are welcome.

On Sunday, Dec. 11th:  The Trinidad School Crafts Fair, from 10 am – 4 pm, with food, vendors and student hand-made products, is a swirl of holiday activity.  Proceeds benefit the First Grade Class.  Please bring non-perishable items to donate to the School Food Pantry.  

Santa’s highly anticipated arrival will be in the 2nd Annual Santa’s Lighted Boat Parade at 6 pm with Bandemonium sponsored by the Cher-Ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria.  Anyone with a decorated boat can participate by contacting Trinidad Harbor Business Director Grant Roden at (707) 672-9381‬ or [email protected].  The boats line up at 5 pm in the Harbor, then follow the main road past the Town Hall and Murphy’s.  For a map, visit [email protected].  The parade is great fun and a sight to behold!
