Online shopping this Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Make sure you protect your new arrivals from porch pirates!
📦 Here’s 10 tips to keep your packages safe this holiday season📦
1️⃣ Don’t let your packages sit. Track deliveries online and confirm the delivery has occurred. You can sign up for email notifications to track your packages from initial shipment to its arrival at your home, or the recipient’s address if you have the gift delivered directly.
2️⃣ Coordinate with a neighbor or friend who may be available to pick up your package once delivered.
3️⃣ Have your packages shipped to your work (if your employer allows it) or ship to store if available.
4️⃣ Make use of delivery scheduling available through many shipping companies to ensure a package will be delivered when you are home.
5️⃣ Have your packages shipped to a local shipping outlet (be aware that some of these businesses charge for this service).
6️⃣ Request that your packages not be left unless signed for.
7️⃣ Check with your post office to see if they can hold the package for pick up.
8️⃣ Insure your holiday packages.
9️⃣ Install a video doorbell.
🔟 Consider investing in a porch lockbox.
