West Linn beats Sheldon 23-14 in 6A State Championship game (SBG)
Sheldon’s perfect season is no more, as the Irish fell short in the 6A State Championship, losing 23-14 to West Linn.

In the regular season, the Irish beat the Lions 35-31.This time West Linn flipped the script, jumping out to a 20-0 lead by halftime.
With their backs against the wall, Sheldon refused to back down. After the break, Teitum Tuioti and Brock Thomas each scored rushing touchdowns to cut the deficit to 20-14.
But West Linn made a field goal with 3:44 left to take a 23-14 lead, complicating Sheldon’s comeback attempt.
On Sheldon’s last two drives, The Lions would muster a fourth down stop and interception to ultimately seal the game.

Sheldon is 4-4 in state championship games.
