It won’t just be the weather that gives us goosebumps this February, it will also be the chilling storyline that’s about to unfold. As if Wyndemere wasn’t haunted enough! In the weeks to come, the Grim Reaper will be making guest appearance after guest appearance on General Hospital as the morgue becomes busier than the nurses station. “Ava’s door is darkened twice over,” co-headwriters Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor tell Soap Opera Digest, “and Spoon Island will run red with blood.”

On one hand, we get it. On the other… well, with the other hand, we facepalm. Look, we can understand why The Young and the Restless would have Victor anxious to return Adam to the Newman Enterprises. It’s a family business, and he’s family. But on a deeper level, it just doesn’t track. The former Christian Miller built himself up from nothing and respects others who do the same. So his obsession with putting Adam back behind a Newman desk suggests that he doesn’t think that he can succeed on his own.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea tells Adam that Billy is meeting her there when he brings the boys back from skating. She senses he’s down and Adam reveals that Victor is up to his old treachery — he has to watch his back at Jabot. Chelsea guesses he wants to punish him for going to work for the enemy. Adam says that according to Nick, he’s doing it to save him. He figures his old man will try and get him fired, then asks, “Do you want to hear the punchline? I’m not happy at Jabot.” He’s forced to admit that his father’s instincts are dead on.

Cady McClain will be making her way back to Days of Our Lives as Jennifer beginning on Friday, February 10, just in time for Valentine’s Day. And if anyone needs a little pick-me-up right about now, it’s Jack. The poor guy is not only dealing with the loss of his daughter Abigail but he just disowned his other daughter Gwen, who refused to chose him over Xander.

Cody, Sam and Dante meet up with Sasha and Maxie at Kelly’s. Sam asks Maxie how she’s holding up. Maxie could use some good news, so Sam tells her that Willow had her baby. At the hospital, Nina and Sonny look in on the baby in the nursery.

Or rather, they decided to turn to the daughter of a familiar face when they brought in Elia Cantu to play Marcus Hunter’s daughter, Jada! And now, it looks like the Hunter family is about to grow by one!

Oh, Kurth looked very much the same, of course, as he rolled around in bed with Justin’s beautiful Parisian paramour, but there’s no way that Justin would have ever cared about putting in a days’ work as Salem’s D.A.
