Pistons

The Pistons have taken calls on forward Saddiq Bey and are open to trading him for the right price, per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

“The Villanova product was recently demoted from the starting lineup before bouncing right back into Dwane Casey’s opening unit,” Fischer wrote. “Bey will become extension-eligible this summer and has had a noticeable drop in production. Detroit has taken early calls on Bey from inquiring teams, sources said, a change in behavior from recent trade windows. But it seems the Pistons are intent on further evaluating Bey before truly entertaining his trade market.”

  • Sources told Hoops Wire that the Wizards, Clippers and Mavericks may be among the teams interested in Bey, though could not confirm if any have actually contacted the Pistons.

Cavaliers

  • Small forward Cedi Osman has continued to be mentioned in trade rumors, with several rival team executives telling Hoops Wire they could envision him being moved closer to the February trade deadline.
  • Sources said Osman’s contract and ability to offer the occasional spark off the bench makes him desirable to contending teams. He is due to make $7.4 million this season and $6.7 million next — and next year’s is not guaranteed.
  • While the Cavs explored Osman trades during the offseason, rival GMs who spoke to Hoops Wire said they don’t believe the Cavs are looking into moving him at the moment.
  • Several Western Conference teams have also expressed an interest in Cavs forward Dean Wade, sources said. For now, it appears Cleveland intends to keep Wade.

Heat

  • The Heat remain interested in Suns forward Jae Crowder and should still be considered a “serious” suitor, sources told Hoops Wire. Miami has been considering multi-team trades as a way to acquire Crowder, sources added.
  • In case you missed it, Heat forward Duncan Robinson has become available in trade talks. We have that full story here.
