Various people commented on the department’s post saying the quintet owned up to causing the damages, blaming it on “a night of fun.” Medina police have not confirmed the validity of the comments.

Bryce Dial, a homeowner on Oak Street, told 19 News it should be noted the five individuals took responsibility for their actions.

“I think that’s admirable,” Dial said. “We all kind of do stupid stuff in the heat of the moment. To come back the next day and say ‘I made a mistake,’ I think that’s a good thing to do.

“It definitely doesn’t excuse your actions, but we all make mistakes,” he added.

Police told 19 News the damage was “minimal,” but they are still investigating the incident.

Anyone with additional information has been asked to call the Medina Police Department.
