2 adults found dead inside vehicle in Goodyear; Sheriff's Office investigating

Two adults were found dead inside a vehicle after Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to calls of a suspicious vehicle on Friday morning.

Deputies responded to the area of Maricopa County 85 and Cotton Lane in Goodyear to reports of a suspicious vehicle on the side of the road about 9:20 a.m., said Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez.

Deputies located two adults inside the vehicle, both deceased.

Enriquez said the Sheriff's Office believes it is an isolated incident with no outstanding threats to the community.

The deaths are currently under further investigation by detectives.

MC 85 is closed between Cotton Lane and Sarival Avenue through the course of the investigation, with the roads remaining closed for several hours, Enriquez said.

No other information was released.
