Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo A Done Deal, According To Ali Abdelaziz

Cejudo's manager claims he's up next for the bantamweight title.

Aljamain Sterling may have his next title defense set.

“It’s Done”

Manager Ali Abdelaziz claims his client, former UFC king Henry Cejudo will collide with Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title. If what Abdelaziz says is true, this would mark the end of Cejudo’s finally successful (and rather long) campaign to get the next title shot upon his long-awaited return.

“I can’t wait for my boy, ‘Triple C’ (Henry Cejudo) to come back,” Ali Abdelaziz told The UG. “I like Aljo (Aljamain Sterling), I consider Aljo as a friend. Aljo is fighting Henry Cejudo – it’s done, you know, it’s done. It’s just – the UFC said it’s done, he knows it’s done.”

Sterling vs. Cejudo has yet to be confirmed by the UFC or an additional news source.

Sterling Wasn’t Really A Fan Of Fighting Cejudo

Up to this point, ‘Funkmaster’ hasn’t really funked with the idea of fighting the former two-division champion, who hasn’t fought since retiring back in 2020 after a win over Dominick Cruz. Sterling has had his sights set on ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley instead, citing it’s the ‘money fight’ he wants.

The current champ has went on record multiple times, claiming nobody wants to see him fight ‘Triple C’ after his time off from the sport. However, it seems as though that’s the title fight the UFC wants to make happen next. So, it may not be up to Sterling to decide.

And of course, if Ali Abelaziz is to be believed, Sterling may have already signed the dotted line to face Henry Cejudo for a date TBD.
