BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Code Blue 32 tonight 11/25 & daytime 11/26 in the City of Buffalo & Southern Erie County.

Code Blue" is the City of Buffalo’s emergency weather safety plan that provides outreach, transportation, shelter and a warm meal to Buffalo's homeless population on evenings when temperatures and wind chill fall to 15 degrees or below from November 15 to March 15.

The following overnight shelters will be OPEN tonight:

  • Holy Cross 412 Niagara St. Buffalo, NY 14201 (6pm-7am). Must be able to use stairs.
  • 586 Genesee St, Buffalo, 14204 - accessible location, open 6pm-7am (This location was formerly a women's shelter but will be open to all for Code Blue.)
  • ROC Code Blue Transitional Housing is OPEN 7pm-7am. For location information or if you need a ride to the ROC call 716-222-4020.

Daytime Warming Centers:

  • OPEN 11/26 586 Genesee Street 7am-6pm
  • OPEN 11/26 ROC 7am-7pm

Code Blue Clients will be permitted at the NFTA METRO Transportation Center from 5:30pm-7:30pm to obtain bus tickets to the Code Blue Shelter. They will not be allowed to wait at the NFTA outside of those hours.
