An annual holiday tradition is about to roll into northern New York once more.The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will make stops in New York this weekend, with six shows scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 27, and Monday, Nov. 28.Organizers for each event are asking attendees to bring either a cash donation or a nonperishable food item with them to benefit a local food bank in their community.Each show will have a live half-hour performance from artists Lindsay Ell and Jojo Mason on the train's holiday stage.The dates for this year's holiday train stops are as follows:Mechanicville - Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. at 300 Park Avenue, to benefit Mechanicville Area Community Services CenterSaratoga Springs - Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amtrak station, to benefit the Franklin Community CenterFort Edward - Nov. 28 at 1:15 p.m. at the Amtrak station, to benefit the Fort Edward Food PantryPort Henry - Nov. 28 at 4:45 p.m. at the Amtrak station, to benefit the Catholic Community of Moriah food pantryPlattsburgh - Nov. 28 at 7:15 p.m. at the Amtrak station, to benefit the Joint Council for Economic OpportunityRouses Point - Nov. 28 at 9 p.m. at the Pratt Street crossing, to benefit St. Patrick’s Church Food shelf The CP Holiday Train has raised more than $21 million and donated more than 5 million pounds of food since its inception in 1999, according to organizers.The train did not run in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Related video: Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will not run in 2020 due to pandemic
