Barrett Maddox has made his decision, and he’ll be staying at home in Tennessee.

The elite OL recruit announced his decision on social media, noting that he was “100000% Committed” to the Commodores. The 6’6 280 pound Maddox chose Vanderbilt over multiple other offers, including Army, UCLA and Kansas among 27 offers.

In his announcement, Maddox thanked God for the opportunity and his family and friends. He also thanked the other recruiters.

The decision to commit to Vandy was a quick one for Maddox, who just received the offer from the Commodores 8 days prior to his commitment. Maddox is the third offensive lineman committed in the 2023 class, after Anthony Miles and Cooper Starks. The OL makes the fifth in-state recruit for Vandy’s 2023 class.

The Vanderbilt commitment caps off a stellar high-school career, including a phenomenal senior season that earned Maddox several additional Power 5 offers.
