Three-star offensive lineman Barrett Maddox committed to Vanderbilt on Friday.

Maddox, from Clinton, Tenn., chose Vanderbilt over offers from Kansas, UCLA, MTSU and others.

Maddox is the third offensive lineman committed in Vanderbilt's 2023 class, after Anthony Miles and Cooper Starks. The class, which currently has 16 commits, is ranked 50th in the 247Sports Composite with four weeks until signing day, which is on Dec. 21.

With Maddox, the Commodores now have five commitments from the state of Tennessee in the 2023 class: Maddox, wide receivers London Humphreys and Junior Sherrill, linebacker Ethan Crisp and kicker Brock Taylor.

Vanderbilt (5-6, 2-5 SEC) faces Tennessee (9-2, 5-2) on Saturday (6:30 p.m. CT, SEC Network) going for bowl eligibility.
