Super sedans don’t come much more super than the BMW M5 CS and while it offers more than enough power for most buyers, the crew at Manhart have created an M5 CS that’s a little more spicy than most.
As is so often the case with builds like this, Manhart started out by working its magic on the M5 CS’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8. Ordinarily, this engine is good for 635 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque but that wasn’t enough for Manhart so they proceeded to fit a carbon fiber air intake and an in-house MHtronik auxiliary control unit that lifts grunt to 788 hp and 690 lb-ft (935 Nm) of torque.

The tuner has also thrown in a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control and four 100 mm tailpipes that are sheathed in carbon fiber but can be finished with a ceramic coating. Buyers can also request a set of race downpipes without catalytic converters, OPF-delete replacement pipes with 200-cell HJS catalytic converters, and a complete OPF/GPF delete package.
No changes have been made to the brakes of the M5 CS but customers can request to have them optimized. A set of Variant 4 coilovers from KW can also be fitted to the car to not only improve the handling but also to lower the ride height.
Rounding out the modifications are a set of silver-grey matte wheels that measure 21×9 at the front and 21×10.5 at the rear and are wrapped in 265/30 front and 305/25 rear tires. While the wheels have the silver-grey matte finish as standard, customers can request to have them painted in their color of choice. Manhart has also supplied some decorative stripes and lettering while also slotting in floor mats with Manhart lettering.
