NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating the death of a 31-year-old man who died after becoming pinned pinned between a pallet and a forklift in Brooklyn on Thursday evening.
At approximately 5:35 p.m., police responded to a 911 call at Columbia and Creamer streets in Red Hook, officials said.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive, pinned between a large pallet and a forklift.
EMS responded and pronounced the man dead on scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was unloading pallets from a truck onto the forklift when a pallet fell onto him, causing him to become pinned.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
